CC2 Challenge #17

Hi all!  Welcome to week 17 of Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Vol II challenge.  This week's technique is called Creative Core-Dinations.  If you'd like to learn this technique, you can find it on page 61 of Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.

I stayed simple with this one, as I want to use it as part of a Halloween collage that's been brewing (ha! get it?) in the back of my mind.

To add to the fun, Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week's challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you for next week's challenge :)

CC2 Challenge #16

Hello and welcome!  I can't believe how quickly this last week has gone!  It's time for Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Volume II Challenge, week 16.  This week's technique is called Perfect Pearls Mist.  You can find out how to do it on page 54 of Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Volume II.

This technique turned out way cooler than I expected!  I am in love with how the PP makes regular cardstock look like metal, with some awesome shimmery-ness added in.  I can see this piece going into my future altered Halloween configurations box.

So glad you stopped by :)  Thanks for looking!

CC2 Challenge #15

Hello all!  Welcome back to week 15 of Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Vol II challenges!  This week features Tim's technique, Enameled Metal, which you can find on page 56 of his book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.  This technique is a lot of fun.  It's hard to see, but it has a really cool, bumpy texture.  May have to try this again really soon!

Week 16 (already?!) will be posted on Linda's blog tomorrow morning.  I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!  Thanks for stopping by!

12 Tags of 2012 - July

Hi all!   Well, once again I'm cutting it pretty close for my entry into Tim's 12 Tags of 2012.   Tim's tag this month features our Lady of Liberty.   Since that holiday is over, and I've fully immersed myself in all things Halloween, I've made changes accordingly :)   Hope you like it!

I'd love it if you'd leave a comment :)  Thanks for stopping by!

CC2 Challenge #14

Hello! It's week #14 over at Linda's blog.  This week's technique is called Guilded Kraft Glassine.  If you'd like to to check out the technique, you can find it on page 39 of Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.  This week's challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I really enjoyed making this one, but I should warn you, Halloween is full on since I've received Tim's newly released Halloween stamps.  It also helps that Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love me some creepy ;)

I can't wait to see what Tim comes up with for his Halloween creations!  Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by :)

CC2 Challenge #13

Hi all!  This week's challenge over at Linda's blog involves the technique called Spritz and Flick Distress.  It's a lot of fun to do.  If you'd like to to check out the technique, you can find it on page 42 of Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.

To add to the fun, Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week's challenge!
I was thrilled to receive some of Tim's new stamps in the mail yesterday!  It's hard to tell, but I used Ranger's metal foil as the mirror's background (and I now know why one of Tim's new products is Mirror Film!).
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate all of your comments :)

My beautiful, furry family

This one is for the cat lovers :)  Three years ago, I saw some kittens dart into the backyard of the vacant house next door.  They were as feral as could be.  After months of canned cat food, and my being up at all hours trying to trap them, they are a permanent fixture in my backyard and my heart.  I already have three indoor cats, or they'd be visiting inside, as well.

My intention was to give them names based on their purrsonalities.  Momma, of course.  LuLu, the little sister, sometimes annoying to her siblings.  Butthead, for not only does he purr loudly and bite me at the same time, he also butts his head against our kitchen window when he sees me...loudly.  Loverboy, I've never met such a snuggle-bug.  And White Dot, the other sister who likes to keep her distance, but will tolerate loving when necessary.

They are all black.  Momma has a white dot and short hair.  All of her kids are long-haired.  White Dot shares her Momma's dot.  In the winter (if you could call it that) they grow a beautiful long, grayish brown undercoat.

Thank you for your interest in my babies :)  I love them very much!
