Tattered Floral Challenge

Hi all!  Happy first day of Spring!  I can't believe this is my first post in March!  I've been quite busy in the yard, trimming and mulching before the heat becomes unbearable.  But I knew I had to jump in the craft room for Tim Holtz's Tattered Floral Challenge.  There are so many amazing entries!

I decided to make a bracelet cuff.  I cut a strip from Tim's swirly grungeboard and rounded the edges.  I used the Tattered Floral die to cut some plain grungeboard, then embossed it with Tim's Retro Circles embossing folder.  I painted the flower with Sunshine Yellow Paint Dabber, sanded the raised part and inked it with Wild Honey Distress Ink.  The metal flower is Tim's and the center brad I colored with Cranberry Alcohol Ink.  The band was painted with Willow Paint Dabber, then sanded and inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  I used a Hitch Fastener as a closure (those were recently brought out of retirement, yeah!).

Tim's challenge ends this Friday, so there's still time to enter!

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate your comments :)
