CC2 Challenge week #2

This week's challenge over at Linda Ledbetter's Studio L3 involves creating a work of art using the Faux Patina technique.  You can find the instructions on page 58 of Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities 2.  This week there is a prize of an Idea-ology Messenger Bag, signed by Tim himself!  Angie Lentz, an awesome artist, is donating this wonderful prize for one of this week's lucky participants.  How cool is that?!!

Here is my submission for the week, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

A couple of storage ideas...

Hello and Happy Friday!

I just wanted to share with you these two backgammon cases I purchased at a garage sale.  I set aside the chips, dice and cups for a later use, because really, what can't be altered?  and I took (tore) out the front dividers.  One holds Tim Holtz's Alcohol Inks and the other, his Distress Re-Inkers.  I've had them for a few weeks and haven't had any leaking so far from any bottles.  I put a piece of 1/2" foam in the top to keep everything in it's place.  I'm going to be on the lookout for a third case, because who's ever done craft shopping, anyway?!

Any organizing 'skilz' of your own? I'd love to see them!
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh those crafty cats

Introducing...

Josie

Abby

Gracie   (earning the kitty food by guarding all that is Tim)

Josie is 9, Abby and Gracie are 6 year-old littermates.  I also have an outside litter of five 3 year-old black cats.  They were feral kittens, but they love me now.  I'll have pics of them later :)

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Wednesday all!

My first post!

Welcome fellow crafters!  I’m very excited to have finally created my blog!  I hope you enjoy your time while you’re here, and feel a bit more inspired when you leave.

I decided that with the start of Linda Ledbetter’s Compendium of Curiosities 2 Challenge, now would be a good time to enter blogdom.  You can catch all of the details at StudioL3.  This challenge involves making a foam stamp, a technique you can find on page 66 of Tim Holtz's new book, Compendium of Curiosities Volume II.  You can check out his new website at TimHoltz.com, and order an autographed copy from him!  If you'd like to subscribe to his blog (and really, who wouldn't?) there's a link at the bottom of his site, in the middle column.
Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week’s challenge!  Please give them a visit, they are wonderful!
I love gears and hardware, so I thought my first tag should embrace all that is metal (and Tim of course!).

Hope you like it!
