Spooky Shadow Box

Well, I've been meaning to make one of these since last Halloween, so I'm very happy to have accomplished it.  It took me most of the month with an hour here or there, but I did it!

There are two challenges I'm entering this in:  Inspiration Emporium's, 'Spooktacular Decorations', i.e. a Halloween decoration for your home, and Frilly and Funkie's, 'Anything BUT a card, with a twist!'.  The twist is that you make a place to hide something.  (Hint:  Don't get too close to one of the tombstones...you never know what's lurking in the shadows ;))

Ok, turn away now if you scare easily...

BOO!

Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by.  Your comments are always appreciated :)

  1. It's fantastic, Julie! Love all the compartments, especially the way you added 'floor treatments' to so many... the skulls are a fantastic perch. I love how you have the tree branch coming out so realistically, too. THanks for sharing with us at Frilly & Funkie!

  4. I really like this, you did a great job. However, I was scared with the BOO, I guess I should have turned away.

  5. I love the miniature books and the Poe picture, Julie! I can appreciate the beauty of the stained wood and I think that leaving your background simple really showcases all of the unique minis. Great job!
