Hello and welcome! It's Configurations Time! This week(s) challenge was a blast to make! I've been wanting to alter a configurations tray for over a year. Thanks to Linda over at Studio L3, and Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Volume II, I finally had the motivation to do it. If you'd like to make one yourself, you can find the instructions in Tim's book on pages 33-34.
I've been collecting vintage odds and rusty ends for quite awhile now, shopping in flea markets, antique stores and yard sales. I just love digging through old treasures! This configurations tray gave me the showcase I needed to display those small items. It gives me a lot of joy to look at them. And speaking of joy, Mario is offering a super-fantastic prize package to one way-lucky person! Thank you so much Mario for your generosity!
Hope you like it! It definitely qualifies as grungy :)
Thanks for taking the time to stop by! I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!
My next post involves a family portrait. You know how well cats gather together to have their pictures taken ;) I will be posting my extended furry family tomorrow, if not later today.
Yummo!!! This is antique knick knack heaven!!! I love all your little goodies!!!
ReplyDeleteReally like your box! You are right - its definitely grungy! That's what makes it so cool!!
ReplyDeleteYour tray is the bomb. I love it. Great job and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteawesome grunginess!! It reminds me of artifacts from an archeological dig that are on display. so cool
ReplyDeleteLove all of the grungy elements and the box looks great too. A wonderful showcase piece!
ReplyDeleteI have tomorrow and the whole weekend off. You have inspired me to make a trip to all those (okay 2-3) antique mini malls we have in town and pick up 'stuff' for my next project.
