12 Tags of 2012 - June

Hello crafty peeps!  I've just finished my June tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2012.  I'm cutting it pretty close this month, but I made it!  This tag is really special to me, as it features the most beautiful, loveable furball I've ever met:  Loverboy (naturally).  He's one of five of a feral litter I rescued, and they all show me love in their own special ways. I'll write another post to introduce you to them all, but for now...here's the star of my favorite show :)

CC2 Challenge #10

Hello all! This week's challenge over at Linda's
Studio L3
is to create something using Tim's technique, Tissue
Wrap Flowers. You can find out how to make them yourself on page 37 of his book, Compendium of Curiosities Volume IIAnd to make this challenge all the sweeter, The Funkie Junkie Boutique is offering a $25 gift certificate to this week's winner!

Boy, these flowers take some practice (of course it helps when you've got your staple in the right direction).  But I think my fourth one's the charm, what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

CC2 Challenge #9

Hi all!  Week 9 over at Linda's blog involves the technique called Pocket Watch.  If you'd like to learn how to make one yourself, you'll have to check out page 36 of Tim's new book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.

I've made a couple of these before and they are so fun.  Miniature pieces of art.  Very cool.  I've had this idea brewing in my head for awhile now, so what better time than now to set it free?

To add to the fun, Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week's challenge!

CC2 Challenge #8

Time flies when you're crafting, huh?  Week 8's challenge over at Linda's is a technique called Repurposed Packaging.  If you'd like to learn how to do it yourself, you'll have to check out page 62 of Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.

I used the new Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade DI's to color my tag.  I used the Tattered Florals bigz and TF M & S to cut my packaging, and a Retro Cirque texture fade was used on the background packaging.  The sentiment is from Hampton Art, cut out of Tim's Ticket Strip die.

I'm not much of a 'bright colors' girl, so you can be assured that next week's challenge, whatever it may be, I will be getting my grunge back on...oh yes, indeed.  And with any luck, I'll be getting rusty too.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tim's classes at AE!

Well, after an extended vacation I am finally posting pics of the classes I took with Tim!

And my projects...

The metal tape heart is my favorite. I think I'll be altering quite a bit with those techniques.  I had such a great time and learned a LOT!!  I got to meet and craft next to the lovely Marjie Kemper.  It was great to meet fellow ATT'ers!    Thank you so much Tim, Mario, Heather, Kate and Patti!!!
